As a senior photographer in Eastern Colorado, I have the privilege of working with some truly remarkable students. One such standout is Katie, a senior at Limon High School. Katie isn't just involved; she embodies leadership and dedication across multiple activities, including golf, cheerleading, basketball, volleyball, softball, and band. Her enthusiasm and energy shine through in everything she does, making her senior session a memorable experience.

Katie's senior session was held after a period of much-needed rain that broke a long-standing drought in our area. The transformation of the landscape was nothing short of magical. The creek beds, dry for so long, were suddenly alive with running water, creating stunning and unique backdrops. The once-parched brown earth was now a vibrant, lush green, providing the perfect setting for Katie’s senior pictures.

The session started at our local downtown, where we photographed some more urban looking areas. Katie’s vibrant colored outfits looked perfect here…

Next, we moved to the Big Sandy Creek, where the early evening light cast a golden glow. We took advantage of the awesome rustic buildings on this property as well as the gorgeous cottonwood trees.

One of the highlights of the session was down by the creek bed. With the recent rains, the water flowed , reflecting the surrounding greenery and sunlight, adding a sense of tranquility to the images. Katie’s natural beauty and poise, combined with the serene setting, resulted in some of the most stunning senior pictures I’ve ever captured. The contrast between the flowing water and the deep green of the foliage created a dreamy, almost ethereal effect that perfectly complemented Katie’s blue dress.
