Frasier Family Fall Mini Session | Colorado Professional Photographer
There’s something extra special about photographing friends—people who know you, trust you, and bring their whole selves to a session. That’s exactly what it felt like with the Frasier family during their fall mini session on Big Sandy Creek. Clients who are also friends? Honestly, they’re the greatest treasure in this business.
Every year, I scout for the best spots where the fall colors really show off. For this year’s minis, I landed on a location that checked every box—right along Big Sandy Creek. It was the perfect mix of vibrant leaves, soft light, and that cozy Colorado backdrop we all love. Plus, the easy access made it great for families to pop in and out without stress. As an Eastern Colorado photographer, I know how important that is for busy families with kids in tow.
When the Frasiers arrived, I was already excited—but then I saw what they were wearing, and I just about squealed. Bright, bold colors that popped against the golden leaves and cool, neutral tones of the landscape. As a Colorado portrait photographer, I always say wardrobe can make or break a session, and the Frasier crew totally nailed it. Their outfits added this playful, joyful vibe that perfectly matched their personalities.
Mini sessions are quick—just 20 minutes—but you’d be amazed at how much we can capture in that time. With the Frasiers, it was a breeze. We laughed, wandered, chased the good light, and captured all the snuggles and smiles in between. When you’re photographing people you already care about, that comfort and connection really shine through in the photos.
I only offer fall mini sessions once a year, and they’re ideal for families who want updated portraits without the commitment of a full session. They’re especially great for those with younger kids who might only have so much attention to give (we’ve all been there, right?). As a professional family photographer, I’ve fine-tuned the process to make it stress-free, fun, and super efficient.
Whether I’m shooting in a golden field, along a creek like Big Sandy, or inside my cozy Colorado photography studio, my goal is always the same—to give families a relaxed experience and beautiful, genuine images. Fall is one of my favorite times of year to photograph because of the rich colors, crisp air, and the way everything just feels cozy. And when you pair that with friends like the Frasiers who are up for anything? Well, that’s when the real magic happens.
As a Colorado professional photographer, I love serving families from across the plains and the Front Range. From outdoor family photos in Colorado to studio milestone sessions and everything in between, I’m here to help you preserve the moments that matter most.
So here’s to friendship, fall color, and photos that feel like warm hugs. Thank you, Frasier family, for trusting me once again—it means the world.
