Baby Marlie’s session was extra special because I had the honor of photographing her older sister’s newborn session just two years ago. Marlie was 11 days old at the time of her session—such a perfect age for those sleepy, curled-up poses. Her mom wanted something different from her older sister’s session and selected a beautiful color palette of blues, ivories, and peaches. These tones complemented Marlie’s delicate features perfectly and created a soft, timeless look.
One of my favorite parts of this session was the family portraits. I always start with these so that older siblings can be part of the session without having to wait too long. Marlie’s 2-year-old sister was absolutely adorable and gave us the sweetest moments as she snuggled with her new baby sister. I know these images will be cherished for years to come.
