Morgan Family Fall Session in Limon, Colorado
The Morgan family’s fall session in Limon, Colorado had all the ingredients for a memorable evening — vibrant color, warm light, and a family who was completely comfortable being themselves. Even though the wind showed up in full force (as it tends to do out here in rural eastern Colorado), we managed to find shelter down in the creek bed. Once we settled into that protected spot, everything clicked. The color was stunning, the light softened, and the session unfolded naturally.
Working Around the Wind and Finding the Perfect Spot
Wind is just part of life on the high plains, but the creek bed near Limon is one of the few places where you can escape it without losing good light. The trees blocked the gusts, the leaves were still hanging on with rich fall color, and the whole area glowed as the sun dropped. It ended up being the perfect location for this session.
A Family Willing to Go With the Flow
One of the best parts of photographing the Morgan family was how willing they were to go along with anything I suggested. Whether it was shifting spots, trying a new angle, or embracing a little movement, they were all in. That flexibility made the session relaxed, fun, and full of genuine moments.
Love You Can Feel in Every Image
This family has a warmth that shows up immediately. The way they interact, the way they look at each other, the way their son fits right into the middle of it — you can feel the love and care they share. Sessions like this are why I love photographing families in rural eastern Colorado. It’s honest, grounded, and meaningful.
