Roberts - Outdoor Family Session in Eastern Colorado

The Roberts family’s fall session was such a joy to photograph! I’ve had the privilege of working with this wonderful family many times over the years, starting with newborn photos for their youngest son. It’s always so special to watch families grow and capture each new milestone along the way.

This session was full of energy and laughter, thanks to their two curly, blonde-haired boys. These little guys were on the move the entire time—so full of life and personality! With the fall colors at their peak, the vibrant golden leaves and warm light created the perfect backdrop for their playful energy and sweet family moments.

As a Colorado family photographer, one of my favorite parts of sessions like this is embracing the spontaneity that comes with young kids. We ran, played, and captured genuine smiles and candid moments that truly reflect their family dynamic. The session wrapped up with something extra special—a smash cake to celebrate the youngest brother’s first birthday! Watching him dive into his cake with pure delight was the perfect way to end the shoot.
