Solomon Family Session in Northeast Colorado
The Solomon family session was an absolute dream and easily one of my top five favorites of the year! We met just north of Limon, Colorado, on a stunning piece of land in the foothills that belongs to Abby’s family. While it was a winter session and the pastures were dressed in soft brown hues, the earthy tones paired perfectly with Abby’s gorgeous rust-colored dress. Add in the most golden winter sunlight, and the result was nothing short of magical.
As an Eastern Colorado photographer, I love using natural landscapes as a backdrop for family sessions, and this setting couldn’t have been more perfect. The golden light drenched every image, giving the entire session a warm, dreamy glow that felt so intimate and timeless. Abby’s styling choices elevated the look even further, and I couldn’t stop swooning over how beautifully it all came together.
The real magic, though, was the connection and love between the Solomons. Their one-year-old daughter stole the show with her sweet smile and curious little personality. It’s always special to capture families with young children, but there was something extra heartwarming about this session. Their love for her is so genuine and palpable—you can see it in every hug, every glance, and every laugh they shared.
Sessions like this are why I’m so passionate about professional family photography in Colorado. Capturing these fleeting moments—these real, joyful, messy, and beautiful moments—is what it’s all about. Whether it’s in a golden field, a favorite family pasture, or right here in my studio, I’m always honored to be a part of preserving these memories.
